Panasonic LUMIX GH4 Black Friday Deals 2021
Panasonic gh4 for a quick adventure and see how it holds up. After two years of using the preowned GH5, I wanted to hop back to my first Panasonic gh4 and see how it compares. So I took out my Panasonic gh4, the Fintech ak4500 gimbal, and my canon 24-70mm lens
The Panasonic gh4 is a fantastic camera, but it does have a couple of limitations.
And that’s the whole reason I have to bring a high-powered gimbal, because the in-body stabilization on the GH4 doesn’t work well. I typically take my GH5 out without the gimbal, which is merciful for me. When I already have the panasonic gh4, filming smooth shots is a given. However, this decision also came at the cost of having to bring the gimbal.
The Panasonic GH5 has a longer battery life than previous models because it requires more battery power than its predecessors. It usually lasts around two hours with continuous filming on a single charge, but this will vary depending on the atmospheric conditions and the amount of settings being used. I use this but I have a GH for 2 hours and 30 minutes and sometimes more time when shooting as HD VC or 4K.
There are a number of good things I can say about this camera, but two major attractions for me are the various codecs and record-time options. One of the benefits for this model is that the user has access to a wide range of frame rates. These are broken down into two categories: Full Frame and Crop. This camera also offers an HDMI-out, which allows it to broadcast in 4K at up to 10 bits per channel (bpc).
Custom picture profiles are a great new feature on this camera, because the standard settings can sometimes be too contrasty or saturated for my tastes. I especially like using the cine L lens and getting an upgrade to log video.
Panasonic has introduced updates in all of their 2015 cameras by including 4K internal capture, You said all those cool features.
The second thing I noticed was the Panasonic GH4’s resolution and frame rate. Filming in 4K 60 frames per second on my Gh5 is my favorite option, and it allows me to capture every moment beautifully without compromising anything while retaining sharpness.
Why pick Panasonic GH4 on Black Friday?
The Panasonic GH4 has the same color profiles as the GH5, which is a huge win. I shot this video in Cine D, sharpness minus five, and I’m happy with the results—in terms of colors, they hold up similarly to the GH5. And overall, for a five-year-old camera, I think the GH5 has aged exceptionally well. You know, right now.
The GH4 also offers a 4K@24fps option, 1080p at 60fps, and superb color schemes for the footage. For that reason, the GH4 is still worth taking a second look at. What you would be able to do with an upgrade and there being money available. I recommend upgrading to the gh5 for professionals and those that are new to film. However, even with basic knowledge of filmmaking and a low budget, someone can manage nice results on the gh4 camera if they know what they’re doing. We recommend the gh4.
