JBL Pulse 2 Black Friday Deals 2021

There are so many Bluetooth speakers on the market, spanning from high-end to dirt cheap. There is a speaker for everyone’s budget. One such speaker sits right in the middle of this spectrum: The JBL Charge Tube Plus.

The power and pairing button are on the underside, with a lit panel for the power indicator that’s also in charge of brightness. The JBL Pulse 2 features five white LEDs that indicate battery level. There’s also a JBL Connect button on top of the speaker, for pairing with another pulse.

You can pair this speaker with the Flip Battery Pack 2+ and Extreme. The flap to charge it has a cover for when you want splash-proof protection, which is much easier to open than most as you only have one flap to deal with.

The design of the jbl pulse 2 is simple and sleek.

Now, it does not have NFC or a charge out port like the UE products. It is splash-proof though (making it perfect for around kids and pools), which is always a plus. The power bank-sized speaker was designed for portable cordless sound, can charge your phone as well.

Leaving this on at 50 volume, the JBL Pulse 2’s battery lasted about 8.5 hours over my test period. After the battery was drained, it ran for 4 hours 44 minutes. One of the main features of this speaker is that there are LED lights running constantly or can be switched off.
Another rewrite: After a full charge (4 hours and 44 minutes) in which the speaker will run no longer than an hour at full volume with all LEDs on

The Pulse 2 has an array of lighting settings that improve on the previous model. The front grille design is more modern and offers a better view. Now there is an accompanying app that offers you more control over the light patterns displayed than the on-speaker controls themselves.

The JBL Connect app visually shows you the themes being offered, and for example, fire is first available on your screen. You can control the intensity from small to large; next up is rain with a white theme and hints of blue color. The JBL Pulse 2 does have a lot of other themes to pick from, but one new feature is the Prism ability for color sensing. You have the option to display your post through its LEDs and as an FYI if you’re using those theme displays.

Why pick JBL Pulse 2 on Black Friday?

I showed you earlier that you can’t change the color, so on to the fire demo. First, there’s no way to say having purple and green flames if you wanted to. Still, back to the spreads canner – I’ll admit that old model allowed for physical selection of colors. However, with the pulse 2, you have to press a button on the left side of the speaker before letting go in order for it to work.

While I will admit that there are benefits to the old method, it does not compare to the spectrum matching technology in this speaker.

Final Verdict

For testing purposes, I used three different devices: the LG v10 smartphone, an iPad air two tablet and my iPhone note. When placed in noticeable locations around my house and separated by walls on various levels of the building – even when matched with different models – they still had a perfect connection (skipping music) throughout while on same floor at most Still, I would not enjoy it as much if I moved downstairs once in the room and began to face problems with the speaker.
