ASUS Vivobook 15 Black Friday Deals 2021
To save some time, we’re going to review a laptop that has been priced under Rs. 40,000 and is most likely powered by an Intel Core i3 processor, or maybe the slightly pricier 8250u version. Let’s see if the ryzen powered vivobook makes up ground against Intel chips in its industry dominated for a long time. We tested the model with the ryzen 5 2500u which comes combined with a vega 8 integrated graphics on board Acer Predator 300
It is a quad-core with 8 logical cores, and comes with the features of the Zen 2 architecture of AMD. It also has Radeon Free Synch, SenseMI, as well as DirectX 12 for use in case of need. One nit note, this laptop has an i5-7200u cpu. It is clocked at 2 ghz and can clock up to 3.6 ghseconds under load or high activity, which is rare for laptops as most of the time they max out at around 3-4 ghz. The w 460gm 7977m graphics card
This laptop supports memory up to 2400mhz and I ran a free benchmark by user benchmarking which shows that the hardware is very impressive, considering its price point. It’s Intel counterpart is the Core i5 8250U, which out-performs it in computing power but you barely notice the difference if you’re not looking AMD’s gpu was significantly faster intels compared to its capabilities.
Here you can see it running Battlefield 5 on 720P low settings while maintaining a usable amount of CPU usage and moderate temperatures. At all times, the game is playable and without recording it usually stays at around 30FPS – which according to many people is the minimum for being playable. For me, anything above 24fps is fine since most movies and commercials are recorded at that resolution. If you want a full walkthrough of Battlefield 5 on this Ryzen 5 2500U, mention it in your comment below. This laptop’s heat management helps encourage producers to create more content for you. Now let’s talk about the keyboard and touchpad.
This CPU with its integrated GPU is rated for a TDP of 15 watts, and can throttle up to 25w if needed. So having this low power draw means I think it’s actually better than the combo found in other laptops (usually over $700 more expensive) of an i5+MX150. Please don’t rain down on me with The mx150 has an additional 25w of power consumption, where as the i5 only consumes 15w, making for a total of 40w. laptops in this price range are expected to be subpar when it comes to cooling.
Others may think that the 1gb of on-board graphics memory is not enough, but for some games–that utilize its own internal 1gb storage–having a powerful on-board graphics processor is not necessary. Of course, 8GB is a sweet spot and will give you the most consistent performance. If you are running on such low-graphics programs as Word or Excel, an 8GB drive will be sufficient to run your operating system and apps easily. lemme tell you that this vega 8 gpu is up to par, if not better than the mx 130 which is also a dedicated graphic unit.
The new asus vivobook 15 deals features a 17.3 inch screen, Intel Core i5-8250u 1.60GHz CPU and 8 GB RAM.
Benchmarks in games show that it struggles with high setting graphics but handles med -high settings satisfactorily We installed a 4GB module as well to make it a dual-channel 2400MHz configuration, and also added the fast bootup and shutdown of our Premier Pro and After Effects software on an SSD with 120 gigabytes. Most of the rest are on spinning drives.
The m.2 slot is a boon for gamers on a budget, but performs well in other scenarios too. AMD is my current favorite chip, but I hope the company doesn’t change in any way.
Why pick ASUS Vivobook 15 on Black Friday?
Let’s talk about the one of the most important characteristics of any laptop: the screen. The Vivobook 15’s display is a 1080p 15.6-inch TN panel at 60 hertz which offers decent quality out of this price range, but it can’t stretch to form-factors greater than that for large groups. It’s not uncommon to see a budget laptop try and push pixels onto its 15.6-inch, FHD panel. But the VivoBook S510UF is an exception with narrow bezels and an anti glare coating that has impressed us for this price range. Asus has lowered prices to keep consumers happy.
The colours on this laptop are fairly accurate with 45% of the NTSC colour gamut and quality audio too, with speakers that get loud enough to fill a large room. The rubber pads at the bottom help to prevent your computer from vibrating if you set it down on an uneven surface. Asus offers a multitude of ports for improved connectivity to other devices. For instance, the power port is on the left side while the rj45 ethernet port, full-sized hdmi port and usb 3.0 port with type C are found on your right side. Additionally, there is a card reader slot in which you To the rear we have a neatly finished exhaust vent which adds to the aesthetic feel of this laptop. The Asus vivobook 15 offers average build quality, (slight screen flex on one side) but it includes an included 45w power adapter that is able to charge up a rather small 2 cell battery in just about 3-4 Once the battery has reached a low level, the system will notify you and recommend running battery management.
The charger itself is quite compact and feels great when compared to regular brick-sized adapters. The power bank fully charges the laptop in around 2 hours and is made from a rough plastic with 1.3mm key travel, which allows for easy typing but not gaming. There are minor inconsistencies at just the F key region; it has hinges at no other It’s okay – just.Saving grace is the neat and big trackpad which supports windows precision drivers and all the associated gestures SO at around 37k for the 8gb model available online, is it a good buy? I would say yes because of the high build quality of this laptop. The surprising faux brushed aluminum look when it’s really made from plastic on the lid and palm rest is impressive.
It’s lightweight and has a tight screen with no distracting bezel so it won’t bother your back or legs. The battery life is average for laptops in this size range, but it performs well while using engineering software. I would recommend upgrading the system to have a dual-channel memory and an M.2 SSD to make for the best value for performance., as they say, everything should be balanced out like this.
so guys if you liked it please pen down a comment below my review..thanks I’ll post some gameplays on this laptop soon, maybe later today.
